Ove believes that the fresh produce is the very reason why Sjøbua is so popular among the inhabitants of Ålesund. The menu varies by season and commodities, but the baked lobster-soup is the one item that never goes off the menu. Ove tried to remove the item, but following loud protests from guests, the soup is now the long-time favorite on the menu.
Otherwise, the fish platter with at least four different species is a tasty and exciting choice on the menu.
